Jonathan Livingston Seagull

Jonathan Livingston Seagull, the international best seller written by Richard Bach in the 70s, has been revived as a new Radio Play, created for broadcast on the Australian Community Radio Network (CBAA). The inspirational message of this book is as relevant today as it was in the seventies.

With permission from the author, this world-class offering is narrated by legendary Australian radio identity, John Knox. It was produced by Robb Richards, the music was composed and arranged by Vance Lendich and the entire production was recorded by Vance at his Doghouse Studio in Brisbane, Queensland. Additional announcements are by Paulie Buckman.

The radio play was launched in October 2006 at the Bribie Island Library (Queensland) and was then broadcast across 180 regional community stations to widespread acclaim.
The first issue of the subsequent AudioBook sold out in hours. It is now available again. See below to order your copy.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Jonathan Livingston Seagull is about a bird who thought that there must be more to life than being like everyone else. So he decided to change his life despite the opposition he encountered from the elders, his family and friends who wanted him to stay the same as all the other gulls. But despite his fear of the unknown, Jonathan persisted with his dream to fly higher and faster. And then one day he flew so fast and so high that he became an immortal.

Through his self belief, courage, boldness and vision he changed the rules of life forever, and in the process he inspired all the young seagulls, who idolized him for showing them the way to enlightenment and that life can be joyous, challenging, exciting, and limitless ... if you believe in yourself.
